Find somewhere good, and safe, to eat
Every food business on the UK hygiene register, searchable by name or address or browsable on a map, with the official rating and the date it was given. You can also browse by local authority, by chain or by kind of business.
What you can see
- Official food hygiene ratings, and when the inspection that produced them actually happened.
- Photos, opening hours, menus and allergen information where a business has claimed its listing and filled it in.
- Food recall and allergy alerts from the Food Standards Agency.
- Favourites, so you can keep an eye on the places you actually go.
What a rating does and does not tell you
A hygiene rating describes how well a business was meeting food safety law on the day it was inspected. It is not a verdict on the food, and it is not kept up to date between inspections - which is why the date is shown beside it here.
